  1. Youth Membership in Troop 404 is open to all boys who:
    1. Are at least 11 years old, but not more than 17 years old, or
    2. Have completed the fifth grade or
    3. Have received the Arrow of Light award as a Webelos Scout.
  2. When applying for membership to the Troop, a parent or guardian must accompany the boy to their first Troop meeting.  A BSA application form must be completed when joining as a new Scout or transferring into the Troop from another BSA unit.  All applicable forms (BSA Health and Medical form, Media Release form and Behavior Agreement/Permission form) must be completed and submitted to the Scoutmaster before the Scout can participate in any activities (see Attachments).
  3. Each Scout must have a current BSA medical form on file with the Scoutmaster.  A physical examination with a doctor’s signature is required.  The BSA medical form is valid for 12 months from the date of the examination.  If your son has a medical check-up scheduled, ask for a BSA medical form so that your healthcare provider can complete the form at the same time.  A copy of this form is taken on all campouts and trips.
  4. Applicants agree to abide by:
    1. The BSA Scout Oath
    2. The BSA Scout Law
    3. The BSA Outdoor Code
